LAST CRACK To Play Two Showcases at SXSW
March 7, 2004Madison, Wisconsin natives LAST CRACK have scheduled two appearances at this year's South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW). It will mark their first nationally publicized live performances since reforming and will feature both new material and selections from their two Roadrunner/Roadracer releases, "Sinister Funkhouse #17" (1990) and the Dave Jerden-produced (ALICE IN CHAINS, JANE'S ADDICTION) "Burning Time" (1991).
LAST CRACK, currently shopping their new four-song demo to record labels, recently made their new single, "Siren Song", available for free download at their official web site, www.lastcrack.com. The new demo inspired VANILLA ICE manager Tommy Quan to offer the band a slot on his showcase at the Spiros Amphitheater (611 Red River St., Austin, TX) during SXSW on Thursday, March 18 at 11 p.m. VANILLA ICE will take the stage later that night at 1 a.m. A second show was added at the Hitchin' Post (12100 FM 969, Austin, TX) and LAST CRACK will hit the 3,000-square-foot back porch at 8 p.m.
